- You eventually have to teach your kids how to drive a car.
- The children in China will NOT starve if you don't clean your plate.
- You're going to have to learn how to retire.
HA! I managed to make my way through the driving part and I eventually learned about the children in China, but I'm having a terrible time with the retirement part.
However, there are a few retirement rules I've already learned:
- You're supposed to slow dow. 120 MPH doesn't work during retirement.
- If you put on the brakes too quickly, you'll go tumbling head over heels and never stop.
- Grand-babies really help with the slowing down part! You can't possibly go fast forward in a rocking chair.
- You've gained a whole lot of knowledge and skills throughout the years - believe in yourself. (Those young whipper-snappers out there don't know a thing - well maybe they do, but just don't let on that you know it.)
- Napping is good for you - it helps with the slowing down.
- You can stay up as late as you want now!
- Dinner can be any time of the day that you are hungry!
- The lawn will grow whether you cut it or not.
- Ironing doesn't have to be fun anymore.
- Games are fun any day of the week!
